On a Personal Note:
This page is in Tribute and Memory to my loving Father, Allan Kandell, who passed in June 2016. Allan was a big part of our life, and of the jazz scene here in Southern California. He is regularly pictured above enjoying the music with us and our friends. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and most of all, a great friend.
On January 1, 2015 we lost another great friend and artist, Blues Guitarist Jeff Golub. Jeff and I have been friends for years, sharing music, drinks and an occasional meal. His music was inspiring and his smile and friendship will be greatly missed. Jeff will always be in my and Monika’s heart. My thanks to all of our other friends pictured above that made Jeff’s life special, and his family.
I have been a recording Jazz Drummer for many years.
I am still very active in the Jazz Scene. I take great pride in being a Sponsor, Ambassador and Host of the Summer Concert Series, at the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach, California since 2010. I have had the opportunity to perform live, and tour, since the mid 80’s with many-well known Grammy winning artists.
